Dominique Raum (RN, CRNA, M.A.)
About myself

For over 20 years, I have been working within the healthcare system in Luxembourg, specializing in intensive care, anesthesia, and emergency medicine.

I have extensive experience as an instructor in various fields—ranging from resuscitation training for doctors and nurses, to serving as an instructor for primary and secondary care of adults and children for the Emergency First Response Corp., as well as a scuba diving instructor (MSDT) for PADI.

Both my professional and extracurricular career have shown that I possess a strong ability to explain things clearly and simply, enabling every participant to understand the essential information.
First Aid and Newborn Care
My many years of experience in emergency medicine and crisis management qualify me to teach both the general first aid course and the newborn care course. As a critical care nurse specialized in anesthesia and resuscitation, and with a Master’s degree in hospital management, I possess in-depth medical knowledge and extensive hands-on experience.

I am a certified instructor for Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) and have completed numerous international trainings in emergency and crisis management, including programs such as Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC). My expertise in pediatric emergency care and the resuscitation of infants and children enables me to teach effective and targeted first aid techniques.

Thanks to my work in intensive care and my role in leading resuscitation teams, I have gained practical experience in emergency care for both adults and newborns. In addition, I have completed training in emotional resilience and parent-child bonding, which helps me address the psychological aspects of newborn care as well.

Damage- & Bleed-Control
With my extensive experience in emergency and intensive care medicine, along with specialized training in anesthesia, resuscitation, and international programs such as Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), I am highly qualified to teach this course on bleeding control and initial trauma care.

My expertise includes the effective use of tourniquets, wound packing, and hemostatic agents, as well as the initial treatment of traumatic injuries. Throughout my career, I have learned to stay calm and act decisively even under extreme stress, ensuring critical bleeding is controlled and stabilization is achieved until professional help arrives.

I deliver practical, hands-on knowledge that empowers participants to act swiftly and safely in emergency situations.

TECC
With my extensive experience in emergency medicine, particularly in tactical emergency medicine, as well as my specialization in anesthesia and resuscitation, I am highly qualified to offer the TECC course. As a certified instructor in Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS), and a regular participant in hands-on training, I can apply medical emergency care specifically to tactical scenarios.
Through my training and certifications in Tactical Emergency Medicine (e.g., TECC) and my experience as a licensed gun owner and participant in tactical exercises, I teach realistic, scenario-based techniques. My expertise in the use of tourniquets, wound packing, and hemostatic agents, along with my crisis management experience, enables me to equip participants with the effective skills they need to handle high-stress tactical situations.
